Hello everybody!! Sorry I don't have much time this week
to write. Well, really I say that every week. So I guess I just have the same
amount of time as always. Probably for the rest of my mission
:)
This week was just wonderful! James and Jen, the Thai
couple preparing for baptism came to church for the second time this week! It
was such a blessing! They thoroughly enjoyed it. They cannot wait to come back
next week. The truthfulness of the Gospel is confirmed to me as I watched
James's face during the meetings and saw tears come to his eyes as the Spirit
testified to him of truth! What a blessing to behold!
We are also working closely with Gail for baptism at the
end of December. She is so great to work with. I cannot believe that the Lord
placed her in our paths! She has every health challenge in the book, and hasn't
been to church yet. However, she will be coming to Stake Conference with us this
coming weekend! Well, unless something happens to her between now and then of
course. But I know that the Lord wants her to be at church and He will provide a
way!
It has been pouring rain here the past few days. Not
today, gratefully! But it is neat to tract when it is pouring, because it is
evidence that the weather certainly affects people's moods! Haha. People are
usually pretty rude to us, but when it is pouring outside, they seem to have
quite an edge to their rudeness. It is sad, but we know that the Lord still
prepares people for us even when it is pouring rain! Blessings await us as we
sacrifice for the Lord!
This week's challenge is to go see the Temple Christmas
lights and take a friend!! Preferably somebody who is not yet with Christ. I
cannot think of a better way to bring somebody closer to Him and allow them to
feel the Spirit of Christmas than walking on those grounds at this time of year.
Please do so often this month!!
I love you all so much and the work continues to hasten
at an alarming rate!! I cannot imagine what the Lord has in store for us. PLEASE
jump on board and help Him in His work! What blessings He has in store for
us!
For those who have asked to send Christmas packages,
again please send them to the Washington address below! We will get them the
week before Christmas. Have a wonderful week!
